Overview: Youth Echo is a transformative project aimed at enhancing educational outcomes and engagement for Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) students in Haringey. This initiative focuses on peer-led activities, mentorship, and awareness programs to foster better relationships between young people and institutions
Objectives:
Lead educational activities and interventions.
Support outreach and engagement of young people.
Engage with schools and colleges, focusing on BME students with low attainment and high risk of exclusion.
Provide peer mentoring, personal development workshops, and public speaking opportunities.
Raise awareness about young people's rights, particularly around stop and search, and improve police relations.
Develop peer-led social actions to reduce school exclusions.
Attend partnership meetings and provide financial and performance data.
Contribute to project evaluations.
