We were honoured to bring over 30 young people, parents, and practitioners to Wood Green Crown Court for a special Knife Crime Awareness Evening. It offered a rare behind-the-scenes look at the justice system and meaningful conversations about creating safer communities.
This week, from 20–26 May 2025, the Godwin Lawson Foundation proudly stood alongside a network of dedicated organisations to mark Knife Crime Awareness Week. Our mission has always been to empower young people, prevent violence, and create safer communities, and this week’s activities reflected that unwavering commitment.
The Spurs Foundation hosted our annual tournament in memory of Godwin. Held at Aylward Academy in Enfield, this event brought together 160 young people from the local community and beyond, serving as a powerful reminder of the importance of our mission to prevent knife crime and keep Godwin’s legacy alive.
The Haringey Safeguarding Children’s Partnership is working to develop a safeguarding approach to Stop and Search in Haringey so children who need support are identified at the earliest opportunity.
